ABOUT LIANNA

Likes:

Egg and chips - I'm a cheap date. Shopping - I can scan a bargain in three seconds flat. Chatting to you lot on the radio - some of the things you come out with are priceless. You'll be taking my job before long.

Dislikes:

Rude and laziness

Best film:

Many an 80's girly classic comes to mind from Dirty Dancing to Footloose, but it's Flashdance that's always been my fave. My boyfriend Rich doesn't mind me watching it - nothing to do with the ladies in leotards and tights I'm sure!

Best TV show:

Phoenix Nights - Peter Kaye's natural and down to earth rib ticklers get me every time. More recently Prison Break - about a guy played by the gorgeous Wentworth Miller who breaks his innocent brother out of jail. The show's name might not be that original but if you like 24 and Lost this is for you

Best TV commercial:

The BT Maureen Lipman proud Nan ads were pretty funny in their day - when her Grandson only passes his Sociology exam out of the lot her saying 'He get's an Ology and say's he's failed - with an Ology you're a Scientist!'

Best crisps:

Tyrells - I try to be healthy and don't feel as guilty munching on these - the fact I eat twice as many kind of messes up the theory though!

Favourite place in the world:

Las Vegas all the way baby! It's not the gambling but the buzz of the place - one minute you see a couple getting married by Elvis, the next you can be in a helicopter over the Grand Canyon. Now that's a diverse holiday.

Favourite smell:

Chips cooking - can never resist them.

When I was a kid I always wanted to be:

We were Market Traders so in an indoor market mainly! I was a shy child until I was about 9 and then you couldn't shut me up - so from that age the idea of chatting for a living became appealing.

Most famous person I've ever met:

I've been lucky enough to meet lots of musicians but it was Alan Fletcher who plays Dr Karl in Neighbours that made me blush! We've become mates now and he always pops up on the show when he's in the UK - he's a living legend

I couldn't live without:

If I ever get a Sony Radio Award I'm including the internet inventors in my drunken Thankyou speech, but it's actually the security blanket I had as a kid. It's in shreds now, but I still cuddle it each night. This is not an invitation to any burglars but I would pay a reward for it!

The TV character who's most like me:

I'd like to say one of those Mitchell sisters in Eastenders, but personality wise I'll go with Fizz from Corrie. She's loyal and funny and I hope I am too.

I've never laughed as much as when....

I'm very childish and once I get the giggles I'm a gonner. My top sister Rhi and I were at a yoga class years ago - she's really good at it now but we were both just giving it a go then. As bodies all around us folded themselves up like Origami the most polite way to say it is that they started releasing air too. As we sat back to back working on a posture pose I was rocking with laughter harder than my Nan's rocking chair!

When I'm not on the radio I can be found:

Off to the beach - the seaside lure of ice creams, chips and sand between my toes is my idea of heaven. If not back at my Mum's in Northants or gassing on the phone to her or my Sis for hours. I mentioned Maureen Lipman and her BT ad earlier - I could do with a bit of that action myself with my phone bill!

If I was an electrical appliance, I would be....

Dec from Ant and Dec's ear piece - they are both too good on tele. Out of jealousy and a crush on Dec I'd whisper naughty things into his ear and try and put him off.

Me in three words:

Happy, chatty and sometimes batty!
